2018 Chateau Belair-Coubet Côtes de Bourg Bordeaux Rouge is a beautiful Bordeaux red blend that garnered several Gold Medals. It hails from a historic appellation in Bordeaux known for producing exceptional Merlot-driven reds.
On the nose, enticing aromas of dark berry fruits mingle with licorice and vanilla imparted from 14-month oak barrel aging. Fresh yet savory notes come in mid-palate, accompanied by well-integrated tannins with a long, satisfying finish.
This jewel is from a 6th generation-owned French estate in Côtes de Bourg, located on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. Grapes were planted in clay-limestone soil from low-yielding vines, resulting in a refined, elegant wine. This blend is 60% Merlot/40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
